The Employability Skills and Enterpreneurship Development Program (ESEDP) Package is an initiative which is conceptualized out of the dire unemployment state in the Country.

“The unemployed say there are no jobs, the employers of labour say  there are jobs but no exceptionally qualified candidates for these jobs and we at MDT CONSULT said “Ok let us fill in the unemployment/unqualified  gap”,  “Train the unqualified to become qualified and recommend to the employer.

We have been mandated to facilitate  internship trainings for Nigerian youths on Employability and Enterpreneurial Skills Development. This is in line with the Federal Government initiative to empower youths for job creation.

Under this scheme we have developed a model called “Employability Skills and Enterpreneurship Development Program” (ESEDP) which has been running since March 2013 till date. This model has been able to get the skills needed by corporate organisations and enterpreneurs alike via simple surveys and build a skill bank of these skills and have been carrying out sensitization and facilitations guided by these requirements. They will be in a house like institution for the training under the full facilitation and guidance of facilitating trainers who would be responsible for the day in day out administration and logistics of the interns. It is an educative programme that will focus on inculcating the most desirable work skills into these youths. During their stay they will be divided into teams, given tasks, carry out presentations, take lectures on various modules as indentified. Gradings and scores will be based on perfomances and various score criteria as will be decided upon. An ESEDP Certificate of completion will be issued that they have undergone Employability Skills and have been certified to have employability skills.

We are currently carrying out facilitations and trainings for Oyo State corpers cut across all its local government. So far we have facilitated over 18 sessions numbering up to 800 corpers in Oyo State. We have also secured partnerships with Osun, Kogi, Ekiti Rivers and Ondo and Kaduna States.

Hello my name is Cecilia Ugah and my ESEDP Ambassadorship name is Confident Cecilia. I am a past serving member with IB. North LG. I am a season 3 Ambassador. I was sure I wanted to achieve something during my service year but wasn’t sure what it was until they came to my Local Govt. whilst most corpers were making noise, I listened carefully and picked out details. When I got to the house I discovered I knew nothing at all. We were asked to come with our C.Vs and when the 8second rule was used to test mine it failed woefully. Out of 42 (36 females and 6 males) corpers in the house only one persons C.V managed to make it past the 8second C.V rule and non to the 1minute rule. I was awarded the best presenter during the presentation and communication skills session. That was a great feat for me because I was judged by 5 C.E.Os of top organizations from Lagos and Ibadan. Make sure you do this scheme, you can’t regret it.

Hi my name is Christiana and my Ambassadorship name is Classified Christy and I am the mother of the youngest Ambassador Golden Gold (1yr old). I am a currently serving Corp. member with Egbeda Local Govt. I am a season 4.0 Ambassador (The latest Ambassadors) It was an experience indeed. Once you get into the house they perform a reverse psychology on you and you start generating so much positive energy and feel you can do anything. They don’t believe in negativity and that’s why we are given Ambassadorship code names that reflect our personalities. I love the personality and insight discovery the most because it showed me who I really am and how to know other people well and relate with them effectively. It can be used in interviews and business also to leverage and pass an interview without stress just by knowing the concept of colour energies. All these and more I learnt from ESEDP.
